U9 Cricket BGS V Brackenfield Friday 10 June

Brackenfield batted first, reaching a total of 251 runs for 11 wickets. BGS bowlers have been practicing hard which resulted in eight out of 10 taking wickets. Best performers were George Huber, Kit Keith and Kaeden Dowler who took two wickets each. A great performance from all five batting pairs saw BGS score an excellent 318 for 7 wickets to win the match. Top scorers with the bat were Tom Button(25), Robert Davies (15) and William Wade (10). Well done to the whole team

U11 vs Ripon Choir School

BGS batted first, reaching a total of 129 runs for 3 wickets. Top performers with the bat were Elliot Brooksbank (retired on 25), Ben Smith-Price (retired on 20) and Eli Wright (retired on 18). Our highest score of the season! Ripon faced with a large total, tried hard but found the bowling of Jim Dacombe, on his debut, too hot to handle! Jim finished with 3 wickets for 6 runs. Eli and James Young took one wicket each and two run outs made sure Ripon were always chasing the game. Two super catches by Finn Keogh and Will King made the game safe with Ripon finishing on 57 for 7 wickets.

Well done to the whole team—don’t forget cricket club on Thursday mornings at 8am!
